Company Planning Partners Ltd ("we", "us") is the controller of the personal data described here. Contact us at info@cpppartners.co.uk.
Who this covers
Directors and owners of UK limited companies we may contact about tax-efficient ways to take profit from their company, and anyone who sends us an enquiry through this website.
Where your data comes from and how we use it
| Source | What we use | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Companies House register | Company name, number, status, industry codes, registered address, key dates | Deciding which companies our services may suit, and describing your sector in messages |
| Companies House accounts filings | Figures from your company's filed accounts, such as retained earnings, cash and net assets, plus accounts type and the accountant named | Assessing fit, and personalising messages with figures from your company's own public filing |
| Register of persons with significant control and officer lists | Your name and role | Addressing the right person |
| Your company's website | Business email addresses and phone numbers it publishes | Contacting your business |
| Your public profile, current role, contact details you share with connections, and messages we exchange | Contacting you on LinkedIn and keeping a record of the conversation | |
| Email checking services | Whether an email address exists and accepts mail | Making sure we write to a real, current address |
| Marketing lists we have bought | Name and contact details of property owners and investors | Contacting people who may benefit from our services |
| You | What you tell us in replies or website forms, and for forms your IP address and browser | Answering you and keeping a record of your consent |
We do not use special category data, and we do not sell or share your data for others' marketing. We do not make decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects by automated means.
Lawful basis
For outreach we rely on our legitimate interests in offering our services to company directors; we have assessed that these do not override your interests, given the safeguards below. For website enquiries we rely on your consent and on taking steps at your request.
Who processes it for us
Our data is held with Supabase in the EU (Ireland). Service providers that process it on our behalf include Microsoft 365 (email), Netlify (website hosting), LinkedHelper (LinkedIn messaging), Anthropic (sorting replies so we answer them promptly), and email-checking services. Some providers are based outside the UK and work under appropriate safeguards.
How long we keep it
- If we have never been in touch with you, we delete your details from our CRM after 24 months without an update.
- If we have corresponded, we keep the record for as long as the relationship continues and for a reasonable period after.
- If you ask us not to contact you, we keep your email address on a suppression list indefinitely, so we never contact you again.
Your rights and how to object
You can object to marketing at any time. Reply to any of our emails or LinkedIn messages saying you would prefer not to hear from us, use the unsubscribe option in our emails, or write to info@cpppartners.co.uk. We act on it straight away.
You also have the right to ask for a copy of your data, to have it corrected or deleted, and to restrict how we use it. Contact us at the address above. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
